CWC's 'The Loop' Wins Best Website

Awarded Best Website

The Loop, Coakley & Williams Construction’s (CWC) new intranet site, was recognized and named Best Website by the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS DC) in their 2021 Marketing Communications Awards. CWC operates with the BUILD MINDSET that every action we take contributes to building something. By building a new desktop and mobile-friendly intranet site, we are able to trade perspectives confidently, one of our core values. We have opened clear and consistent communication lines across teams, departments, and workplace locations by sharing information internally. At the awards ceremony, SMPS DC remarked, “It’s obvious that Coakley & Williams Construction cares about their people and keeping them informed.”

In the Loop

Prior to the launch, we held a naming contest for our new intranet site. The winning name, ‘The Loop’ has become part of our daily language and consequently, a part of our company’s culture. The Loop has grown so much since the launch. Our initial goals to share company news, project updates, recruiting, calendar, welcome new employees, promotion announcements, birthdays, anniversaries, new policies, and awards have expanded to include personal stories, polls, blogs, contests, wellness tips, trainings, videos, a Career Development subsite, and a COVID tracing app. The Loop also includes convenient direct links to our timesheet, employee directory, benefits, marketing materials, Procore, and other employee resources.

Whether at a construction site, in the office or on the go, CWC’s goal was to keep each of our team members in ‘The Loop’ with current company news. With Marketing taking the lead and utilizing the skills and resources at CWC, we are so proud that we materialized our goal and made a huge impact.
