Terry Coakley
Co-Founder

Terry Coakley has had a lifelong passion for designing and building things.  In 1974, after studying Construction Management at Clemson University, Terry joined the firm, then owned by his father, Neil T. Coakley, and Fred G. Williams.  While rising quickly within 10 years to head the firm’s Construction and Development Department, most of all Terry wanted to be a builder.  Together with his friend and fellow colleague, Pat Caulfield, he co-founded Coakley & Williams Construction Inc.  Under their leadership, the company grew from modest revenues of $3.2 million to being a perennial ENR Top 400 company within eight years. Terry served as CEO of the firm for over 30 years.
