Event Raises $140,000 For Women Giving Back

CWC Attends Women’s Empowerment Luncheon Benefitting Women Giving Back

Ten women at CWC recently attended the Women’s Empowerment Luncheon benefitting the non-profit Women Giving Back.  This annual event hosted by M&T Bank honors International Women’s Day and is an opportunity to recognize the power of women and celebrate the exceptional impact that Women Giving Back, and the thousands of women that support them, are having on women and children in the DMV. Women Giving Back is a local nonprofit organization supporting women and children in crisis by providing quality clothing at no cost, assisted by a caring and committed community.

Shawn Yancy was the MC at The 4th Annual Women's Empowerment Luncheon generated $140,000, all of which goes 100% directly to Women Giving Back.

The event was hosted by NBC4 Anchor Shawn Yancy and the Keynote Speaker, Linda Rabbitt, Founder and Chairman of rand* construction corporation, shared the inspiring story of her path to success. The 4th Annual Women's Empowerment Luncheon generated $140,000, all of which goes 100% directly to Women Giving Back.

CWC’s Lynn Stith Bennett has served on the event’s Host Committee for several years. In addition to attending this event, CWC supports Women Giving Back financially and by hosting clothing & accessories drives to help stock the WGB Boutique, a free store available to WGB clients.
